Today’s theme is “beginnings”. This is the first episode of this new podcast, so we’re beginning a journey with you, our listeners. But as readers and writers, we care deeply about beginnings. When we pick up a book to read, we often judge whether or not we want to read it based on the first few pages. And as writers, we often stress out over the beginnings of our books, because we know that if they don’t measure up, people won’t read past the first few pages. Today we’ll explore many beginnings – the beginnings of Deep Desires Press, the beginnings of a novel and a novel series, and the beginnings of the journey to publication.
